2. The Widget
The Widget is a trailer specifically designed for winter camping.
We’ve written before about winter camping and also about some tips for choosing the best RV for cold weather.
Compared to a normal teardrop camper, the Widget is a bit different.
It’s got an internal galley and a lower footwell which makes for about five and a half feet of headroom. The Widget can also be built for a planned installation of an onboard toilet.
One of the great things about these plans is that they’re made for the frugal builder.
For example, the Widget build plans have specific “nesting” instructions for minimizing plywood waste for the body panels.
