2. Airstreams are More Than a Trailer, They’re a Community
From the first day you purchase your Airstream you become part of a community.
A community of friendly and welcoming folks who wave and flash their lights when they pass each other on the road. Folks who will strike up a conversation with other Airstream owners, usually with the question, “what year is your Airstream?”
You’ll have many ways to stay active in the Airstream community:
- join the official Airstream club, the Wally Byam Caravan Club International
- subscribe to a magazine dedicated to all things Airstream
- browse the Airforums to learn and connect with other Airstream owners
- attend a rally
- visit the factory for a tour
- or stay at one of the many Airstream only campgrounds
If you’re lucky you many even get invited to a private gathering, like the Aluminogan Rally put on by full-time Airstreamers Leigh & Brian. It’s obvious that Airstreams instill a sense of community and camaraderie among owners.
