A few years ago, it was actually pretty difficult to find a classic rental van that seems to be more common in other parts of the world. Thanks to companies like Escape Campervans and Jucy Rentals, finding a fuel-efficient rental van for summer road trips is much easier.
Now the Canadian province of Québec should be added to the list. Vanlife MTL is a new van rental company that allows you to roam Québec as well as the rest of Canada. Of course, you can take the van rentals into the U.S. as well.
The VanLife MTL vans are Dodge Promaster hightop vans that have been converted into wonderful living spaces by Boreale Vans of Montreal. Two types of vans are available. The Chill-Inn is best for two people and features a kitchenette, cartridge toilet, a double bed, and a dining area. The Chill-Inn also features a 13,000 BTU heater and 120v solar system.
The All-Inn can sleep up to four people with its two retractable double bunk beds. The kitchen has a sink, gas stove, and a 12-volt fridge. It also has a cartridge toilet, solar system, lighting, a backup camera, and even 24-hour roadside assistance.
VanLife MTL also includes everything you need for comfortable camping. Each van has pots and pans, cutlery, plates, cups, and all cleaning materials. Propane is not included in the rental cost.
Anyone who wants to keep their trip short can rent the van by the day or extend their rental for weeks. The Chill-Inn cost is $175 to $225 CAD ($135-$174 US) per day depending on the season.
The All-Inn rental is $190 to $260 CAD ($145-$200 US) per day. Extras such as an outdoor shower, hammocks, child seats, and even board games, or paddleboards can be added to the price.
