Many RV owners dream of becoming full-timers—enjoying life on the road without the encumbrance of a home or property. However, that pesky money issue does get in the way sometimes. These RVers have found a way to make some cash out of their RV by running Etsy shops that feature everything from handmade jewelry to beautifully photographed pillows.
Etsy features artists from all over the world.
Jack and Rose – Que Vida Designs
Jack and Rose are only in their 40s, but they are retired and live and work out of their 2007 Four Winds Hurricane RV with their Siamese Cat. Rose designs and makes handmade jewelry for her Etsy shop that translates to “What a life” in Spanish.
Que Vida Designs features jewelry inspired by the beach.
The couple tow a “toad” vehicle behind their RV—a 1997 Geo Tracker 4×4. They also document their travels on their website, Shell on Wheels. The couple tends to travel around Florida, the East Coast, and up into the Great Lakes, and their love of the water is reflected in Rose’s designs.
Amber Katya Laroche – Lost Kat Photography
Amber Katya Laroche lives full-time in her Heartland Torque Fifth Wheel trailer and works as a photographer and web designer. Her Etsy Shop, Lost Kat Photography, features prints, pillows, and even shower curtains printed with her nature photography. Many of her photos are shot in National Parks and during her travels.
Laroche lives in a Fifth Wheel and photographs her beautiful surroundings.
Amber continuously travels the US with her partner, their two cats, a dog, and a mouse. However, she also loves to leave the RV and fly to other corners of the world. In addition, her blog and designs can be seen on her website.
Dan – ABumsBooty
Dan not only runs an Etsy shop where he specializes in selling jewelry made from rare coins, but he also runs the website RV Beachbum.com for RVers. Dan lives full-time in his 27 foot 1987 Pace Arrow.
His website teaches other RVers how to create a small business while on the road. In addition, he writes about workamping, craft fairs, and other business ideas. Of course, he also writes about how to be a laid back beach bum who happens to live in an RV.
ABumsBooty Etsy shop features jewelry made from historic coins.
Dan runs the Etsy on Wheels membership page on Etsy.com. Anyone who runs a full-time or part-time business out of their RV can join the forum and meet other RV entrepreneurs.
