Have you been looking for a new and different RVing experience?
Do you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of conventional RV parks?
If so, you might want to read more about Harvest Hosts.
What Makes Harvest Hosts Unique?
We started Harvest Hosts® – The Unique RVing Experience™ in 2009 for one reason: to create fun and exciting new experiences for RVers at wineries, farms and other agricultural attractions.
Harvest Hosts provides the opportunity to visit interesting locations where you can meet the owners, learn about their craft and support small businesses and local economies with purchases of locally produced products.
Avid World Travelers and Fellow RVers
We’re avid international RVers, and first came across the idea of overnighting at wineries and farms while RVing in Europe.
When we returned to RVing in the US, we hoped to join a similar program – but soon discovered that none existed.
So we decided to start the community ourselves.
So Many Options to Choose From
Starting with just three states in early 2010, Harvest Hosts has grown to include Host locations in 49 US states, 9 Canadian provinces and even Baja California in Mexico.
Here’s just a sampling of the many types of locations that we offer to our members:
- cider mills
- breweries and distilleries
- fruit and vegetable farms
- goat dairies
- alpaca ranches
- museums and historical properties
- and the list goes on…
Harvest Hosts offers many different kinds of fun locations for both adults and children where you can learn something new, feed the animals, enjoy entertainment or simply relax.
Etiquette is Important
Host locations are not campgrounds and they don’t offer any facilities. All member RVs must be self-contained with toilets and gray water tanks and each must have the capability to provide their own water and electricity.
Because hosts don’t charge a fee to park overnight, Harvest Hosts requests that you express your appreciation for the experience by making a purchase or partaking of whatever the Host has to offer.
Harvest Hosts is a Unique Online Membership Program
When joining you create a username and password that provides access to the website. Once inside, you’ll be able to search the Host Directory, interactive maps, a discussion forum, and view member photos. Everything you need to find fun Host locations is on our site.
Here’s some of the information you can expect to learn about Host locations:
- contact information
- GPS coordinates
- rig sizes the Hosts can accommodate
- whether they allow pets
- types of activities they have and products they produce
Host locations often offer entertainment such as concerts, tours, exhibits, special dinners and classes. Some locations have restaurants or bakeries where you can enjoy home-made specialties.
Other locations offer up-close and personal experiences with wine-making or farming.
Harvest Hosts is Nationally Recognized and Highly Rated
