The next time you head to your RV’s bathroom at night, this man wants you to think of him. He invented a glow-in-the-dark RV toilet seat!
Making your RV toilet seat safer than ever.
The NiteGlow toilet seat is making nighttime bathroom trips safer – and bringing male and female RVers closer together by ending squabbles sparked by someone leaving the seat up. Originally designed for standard residential homes, the NightGlow can also be installed on RV toilets.
Made by Dave Reynolds of the Tennessee-based Night Glow company, this day glow RV toilet seat will stay lit all night long after being exposed to various lighting sources. If you’re figuring this is one of those cheesy and totally unnecessary “As Seen on TV” products, think again. You might think you don’t need a glow in the dark RV toilet seat, until you realize the benefits of being able to see where you’re aiming.
Benefits of Glow in the Dark RV Toilet Seats
- Replaces the bathroom night light.
- Makes a perfect target: no more excuses for missing the bowl.
- Instantly lets you know when the seat is up or down.
- Eliminates falling hazards during nighttime bathroom trips.
The NiteGlow toilet seat is available in both a luminescent green or cool blue day glow shade. According to Reynolds, “green NightGlow seats glow approximately 20% brighter and longer than Blue NightGlow seats, due to the chemical properties of the glow materials used.”
You’ll never miss the target again!
Each type of toilet seat will glow for up to eight hours, depending on how the seat is charged during the day (sunlight, light bulb, florescent, or black light). According to Reynolds, “the NightGlow seat performs better in bathrooms with a natural light source, such as a window vs a bathroom with no natural light source, like a powder room bathroom.”
What makes them glow? Relax, it’s not radioactive waste.
NightGlow RV toilet seats are made with a consumer safe photo luminescent plastic, which is injection molded into the toilet seats. The fluorescent color will not rub off, leak out, or get released after normal use. The seats come promised to glow at least three years, but the company’s initial tests show that they will glow for over 10 years.
A glow so good, even NASA uses it.
“This glow is the same that’s used by the U.S. military and NASA, that’s how good it is. Our seats will glow probably 15 to 20 years,” he told Nashville TV station WSMV.
NightGlow toilet seats are designed for use in all residential homes and RVs. They come in two different sizes:
600 elongated – length 18.5” long, 14.75” wide, 1.5” high – inside seat hole 11.75” long, 8.4” wide
200 round – length 16 3/8th long, 14.5” wide, 1.5” high – inside seat hole 10” long, 8.5” wide
