If we have mentioned it once, we have mentioned it a hundred times here….space is at a premium in even the largest RV’s. We like sharing ideas that tidy up your storage areas and cabinets. If you have a larger motorhome or travel trailer then perhaps this incredible RV cookware wont be as impressive as if you spend time in smaller trailers, pop-ups, or truck campers. but, as the owners of a 39 ft. Class A, we still think it to be worthwhile.
If you cook instead of eating out on the road then you know if can be a challenge to fully equip your RV for a good “home” cooked meal. There just simply isn’t room for multiple pans, glasses, plates, pots, etc. A company called Magma has dedicated many resources to alleviating this issue by creating thoughtfully designed stackable RV cookware. Our personal favorite is the Magma Nestable Stainless Steel Cookware. It is not your standard low quality stackable pans. This set throws convention into the wind.

As soon as you start tearing these out of the box, you know your dealing with quality when you hold a piece in your hand. They feel sturdy, heavy even and seemingly rugged. They have thick bottoms that are milled flat to offer great heat transfer that is evenly distributed. Not to mention they all stack beautify into a snug RV cookware bundle for storage in a very small footprint comparative to traditional pots and pans.
The show stealer for us is the unique locking and transferable handles integrated with this RV cookware set. There are 2 handles for the entire set that are shared between all the pots and pans. This initially gave us pause until we were able to use them and find that they allow you easily switch them between pots/pans and are fastened securely when they are attached.
Magma makes several versions of their RV cookware sets. The version that seems to be most popular is the 10 piece set which is what we purchased that has 100% marine grade stainless steel and come with 3 sauce pans (1-1/2 quarts, 2 quarts, and 3 quarts) and a lid, 5-quart stockpot, and a 9.5 inch sauté pan with lid. It also has 2 handles as mentioned above as well as a bungee cord to secure the set together once they are stacked.
We would argue that this RV cookware rivals the quality of many high end sets designed for home use. The glaring issue here is only the cost. At $176 (Amazon w/Free Shipping) and $215 with Teflon Coating (Amazon w/Free Shipping), this RV cookware set is far from cheap, but then again the functionality and convenience is far from normal.
We recommend the Magma Nestable Stainless Steel Cookware if you are serious about RV cooking. We have not seen anything of higher quality with such great storage functionality anywhere else. Magma warns that these will not work well with induction cooktops, so keep that in mind if you have one.
Magma products are the creation of two identical twin brothers who were avid sailors. After frustration from terrible cookware on their vessels, they set out to make cookware that could withstand the beating that comes with sea travel. No wonder this cookware set is so solid!
