Downside of the Ford Transit Connect

I used a Ford Transit Connect, a smaller version of the Ford Transit, for work a couple of years ago when they started to gain popularity in the United States. Ford took their European Transit Connect design (which has been around since 2002) and brought it over to the US in 2009.

One of the major problems I found were the small rims and stiff suspension, making city roads in the US a nightmare to drive.

The pot hole-lined streets of Chicago shook the living daylights out of me. I bought a Timbren suspension enhancement kit to make the ride more forgiving, but that didn’t seem to help too much.

Fortunately, Ford completely revamped their Transit Connect two years ago to make it a lot more user-friendly and comfortable to drive.
