Signer-songwriter John Mayer recently showed off his new EarthRoamer truck camper on his Instagram page.
Colorado-based EarthRoamer makes some of the most ferocious off-road truck campers in North America.

Mayer said that, “I am a proud owner of this most formidable go-anywhere, live-anywhere vehicle.”
He credited the staff at EarthRoamer saying,
One year and many meetings in the making, she’s all mine. Completely hand built in Colorado by extremely talented and innovative men and women. Who knows where I’ll end up next.
The musician chose EarthRoamer’s XV-LTS model for himself. The XV-LTS is based on Ford’s F-550 chassis.
The camper has a total length of a bit more than 26 feet, weighs around 7 tons, and can handle just about any terrain – thanks to a Power Stroke V8 engine that puts out 300 HP and 660 lb ft of torque.

Prices start around $280,000. And that’s just the base price. But if you’re spending over a quarter of a million dollars on a truck camper, you’ll probably add a few more bells and whistles to the base package.
Prices for EarthRoamer truck campers sometimes stretch beyond the million dollar mark.

It’s not clear where Mayer intends to use his new off-road truck camper, but he’s been known as a risk-taker.
He recently posted a New Year’s message to his fans on his website writing,
2015 is about ambition. And ambition takes focus and focus takes discipline and discipline means discomfort. Have an uncomfortable year all.
With an outlook like that, you can bet he’ll put this camper to the test.
