A family of 5 took this classic 1990 Barth Regal and spared no detail in a top to bottom RV Remodel. They have named this rig the “Edelweiss” as stated at their family blog NomadicSimplicity.com. After 14 moves in 16 years the family chose to embrace the nomadic lifestyle that so many fight and begin to enjoy the subtle pleasures that come with life on the open road in the united states.
In November of 2011 they purchased the used 1990 Barth Regal in hopes that they could update the exterior and interior instead of purchasing new and taking on additional debt. It was in need of major updating so they began the slow process of updating both the aesthetics and mechanical features of their classic RV.

RV Remodel: 1990 Barth Regal AFTER
Many people become skeptical of purchasing older RV’s especially when the company that produces them is no longer in business. It can be a task finding parts, sourcing information about repairs, and many things must be done custom. This example is a testament to the quality of Barth Motorhomes and what can be done with a seemingly older worn motorhome when you have the right mix of motivation and creative talent. This RV remodel project took over a year to complete while living out of the motorhome. The outcome is without a doubt truly incredible!
