8 Reasons Why You Should Go RVing For Valentine’s Day Weekend

This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

Valentine’s Day is coming up! Whether or not you have someone to celebrate with, going on an RV trip is a brilliant idea. There aren’t many more unique places to take your other half than the great outdoors. Here are 8 reasons in particular why you should plan a trip for this loving holiday:

1. It’s a private getaway.

Try and take your other half on a dinner-and-movie date on Valentine’s Day and you’ll be facing huge crowds, full of other couples looking to do the same. However, a trip on the road will allow you to spend quiet alone-time together. Even if you aren’t bringing a +1, the solidarity of a camping trip is still unbeatable no matter what time of year it is.

2. You’ll be (or can be) unplugged from the world.

Without service, you shouldn’t have any distractions from enjoying each other’s company. Unless of course, you’d like to pull out your phone or camera to take a photo. Texting, watching TV and staying connected to Facebook though, will be much less tempting.

3. It’s reasonably cheap.

Hotels, diamond necklaces and premium roses aren’t cheap. Going out on a trip will make for an unforgettable adventure without having to break the bank. But if you want to throw in a box of chocolates somewhere too, they probably won’t mind.

4. …and healthy.

No matter how many different hotels you stay at, or dinner-and-a-movie dates you go on, they’re all basically the same experience. However, there’s a wide range of campgrounds and RV parks that offer scenic getaways unlike anywhere else. There’s a new, unique destination to celebrate with your other half every Valentine’s Day.

7. It’s relaxing.
