Jennifer and Gregory live and work on their property in Wimberley, Texas (about 40 minutes southwest of Austin). Jennifer teaches art classes to children in her studio, while Gregory makes custom wood furniture in his workshop.
Next to their home and work areas, they rent out an adorable Airstream travel trailer on Airbnb. Actually, you could probably call it more of an “Airstream Homestead” because the trailer is nestled right up to all the amenities you’d need for luxurious outdoor living.
Named the Dixie Daisy, the Airstream has a pretty normal-looking exterior. But once you step inside – whoa!
The owners stock the refrigerator with fresh eggs and provide local organic coffee.
You can soak your worries away in the hot tub.
Or relax on the patio just outside your door.
Maybe read a book in the nearby treehouse? The Airstream hideaway is located on a 10 acre elm tree grove, and right next to a creek.
Jennifer and Gregory added an antique iron bed frame with a queen size mattress.
And an over-sized sofa in the main living area.
Yep, that’s a real toilet inside the trailer.
Pets are allowed for an extra $50 per animal, and must be declared in advance of your arrival.
The trailer has a 5-star rating on Airbnb, and costs $130 a night, with a two night minimum. (Is there a maximum!?)
