Yatoo is a three-part modular car camping system that allows aspiring wanderers to transform over 20 different existing vehicle models into a free-spirited home on wheels.

The Yatoo camping car solution works with over 20 compatible makes of European vans and off-road vehicles including: Citroën, Peugeot, Renault, Fiat, Ford, Dacia, Volkswagen, Nissan, Toyota, Land Rover, Opel, Mercedes and Volvo. Campers in the US can use it with a growing number of American vehicles including the Ford Transit Connect and SUVs from Jeep, Land Rover, Nissan, Toyota and Mitsubishi.

No Towing or Mods Required for the Yatoo Camping Car Modules

The best part about the Yatoo camping car is you won’t need any tools or towing capabilities to enjoy a more comfy outdoor experience. Yatoo comes in three individually-priced modules that you can purchase together or separately. They are:

The Lidoo: It’s the heart of the Yatoo camping car experience.

This module morphs the back of your vehicle into a hotel room and in just a few minutes you can position the polyester fabric tent with steel frame, wooden slats and two self-inflating mattresses into your sleeping area for a restful night in the outdoors. For ultimate privacy the Lidoo even has blackout shades customized to your exact vehicle for the ultimate in stealth camping.

The Tipoo brings the whole gang along!

Bring more campers on your trip just by adding the Tipoo frameless canopy to your Yatoo. Two more adults or three kids can get cozy in this 5.5′ x 5.5′ tent that expands to about 5.5′ x 7′ without using any tools. It connects to the trunk of your car and even has extra storage space inside.

The Kinoo: a bed and bath in one!

Now you’re getting all your creature comforts into your road trip with the Kinoo bed and bath module. The Kinoo’s kitchen component can be used as a standalone outdoor module or if you have a van you can easily install it inside the vehicle. The Kinoo features a “kitchen” with a gas stove with storage space, and the “bath” has a sink, faucet and shower nozzle powered by an electric pump with twin 5-gallon holding tanks for fresh and gray water.

So far the Tipoo camping car modules are a concept camper being promoted by the Peugeot car company at car shows around Europe. Everyone loves how each module is very compact and easy to store, but most believe that the cost is quite high for what amounts to an elaborate camping tent: you can buy each module separately starting at $690 or get all three for almost $5,000 USD.

In the end though, the Yatoo camping car modules still seem like a bargain. After all, how many working RVs in ready-to-go condition come with a price tag like that?
