According to Tin Can Tourists, Mobile Scout was based in Arlington, Texas and built mostly 5th wheel trailers starting in 1955. I want to show you an early-model Mobile Scout camper that’s for sale in the Dallas, TX area.
This 1960 Mobile Scout is only 12′ long.
While you could take it on weekend trips, the previous owner used it as a backyard camper and pool house!
The closet has been converted to a bathroom.
And there’s an A/C unit, working electric, and water hookups.
Many vintage Mobile Scout trailers featured birch cabinets and linoleum floors. This particular trailer has all the original hardware and fixtures, including the unique triangular-shaped window in the door.

The trailer is located near Dallas, TX and is currently for sale for $6,000 OBO. While there’s no title, legal ownership of non-motor vehicles can be transferred via a Bill of Sale.
