This Star Wars Fan Turned An Air Conditioner Cover On His Pop Up Trailer Into R2-D2

Mike MacDonald loves Star Wars and camping. After watching the movie Fanboys about – you guessed it – a group of Star Wars fans who travel to the famous Skywalker Ranch, MacDonald’s daughter gave her dad the idea.

MacDonald made a cardboard template and used colored tape in place of the original lights on R2-D2.

He told CNET,

Thanks to the amazing resources of the R2 Builder’s Club, I was able to take blueprints of the top of his dome and scale them down to fit the vent cover
