It’s only fitting that the designers at Victorinox, the well-known maker of knives, watches, and other accessories eventually put their genius minds together to create a sophisticated travel trailer. But who to team up with? Why not Airstream?
Airstream and Victorinox worked together to produce a 19-foot trailer for the 125th anniversary of the Victorinox Swiss Army company in 2010.
According to the marketing material for the limited edition camper,
Each trailer embodies the shared qualities of the two iconic brands: precision, functionality, reliability and a classically elegant design. Like the legendary Swiss Army Knife, the details of the trailer are precise, clean and sure to last a lifetime.
While the “last a lifetime” claim might prove a bit lofty, the trailer will delight those who seek a modern interior for their RV.
You even get bedding custom-embroidered with the famous Victorinox emblem.
The travel trailer features solid surface countertops and high-end cabinetry.
And yes, these trailers came with a collection of Victorinox Swiss Army watches, cutlery, and knives (plus other accessories).
Since only 125 units were made, it’s not easy getting your hands on one of these campers. We couldn’t find any immediately available for sale. (Here’s one that sold for $48,000). As a start, you might be able to contact some current owners at this Airforums thread.
