Fuego EP01AMG Element 13″ Portable Gas Grill

fuego-element-portable-gas-grill Just by the looks of it you can tell the Fuego EP01AMG Element is one cool portable gas grill. Most grills aren’t purchased on the merits of the cool factor but the Fuego is the exception to the rule. The exterior powder coated steel finish with aluminum legs that also function as a carry handle are as attractive as a design that we have on our list. The lift top design may discourage some but the simplicity of the design can’t be overlooked. The Fuego EP01AMG Element portable gas grill weighs in at a thin 13 lbs. and still has a 159 square inch cooking surface with a cooking temp of up to 650 degrees. When stored this unit only measures 14x13x10 making it the smallest portable gas grill for storage on the list. It also has an optional carrying strap that turns it into briefcase sized shoulder tote. The fact that it is sleek enough for that is quite impressive. If you are looking for ultimate portability and to be the envy of your family and friends with an impressive new gadget than this might be your next grill.

Coleman 9949-750 Road Trip Grill LXE

portable-gas-grill-coleman The Coleman 9949-750 Road Trip Grill LXE was designed with mobility in mind. It is simple to operate and due to its portability should be ideal for road trips, RV’ing or camping. This Coleman portable gas grill is the main competition for the Weber Q series. Most people feel that the Coleman edges out Weber as it is easier to setup and use than the Weber. The Coleman offers many of the same features as the Weber with enamel coated porcelain grates, grease management, and a push button starter. This unit is a 2 burner with 285 square inches of cooking surface which may not be compact enough for some applications which is where Weber has  a leg up with several options to suit a more compact application. The Coleman 9949-750 Road Trip Grill LXE heats up faster and cooks more evenly than many others on our list. It features a built in stand and it folds for simple storage.

  1. Great review! I also like the Coleman RoadTrip LXE for its really portable feature and great grilling capability. I think Magma Chefsmate is also a great addition to the list.

  2. Great review. We looked at each of the grills in your review but ultimately chose the Cuisinart CGG-200 grill and would definitely rank it amongst the best in class. It is well designed, well made and with 240 sq inches of cook space is large enough for the whole family.

  3. Cant go wrong with the Q series! That 280 square inch grilling area should be able to hold 4 steaks without an issue. We saw a guy fit 12 pork chops on one, though it wasnt pretty!

  4. Thanks for taking the time to find the best grills. I think I’m going to purchase the Weber Q 220… The grill on my trailer can only cook about two good size steaks at a time and I’d love to be able to fit four. Thanks again!
