The design is based on a 1953 Bell camper owned by Paul’s sister-in-law, Mayan.

Paul said,

I made this little replica for her in appreciation of her wonderful, kind and giving heart. Thanks Maryan.

The bottom and sides are made from 1/2″ plywood and covered with aluminum sheeting. The opening in the top of the door is the entry and exit for the birds. Paul included a removable rear end to make the annual cleaning process simple and easy.

It’s amazing how Paul was able to keep everything pretty much exactly to scale. From the miniature propane tanks to the hitch chains and hubcaps – everything looks proportional. You can see more of Paul’s creative ideas at his site here.
