An Innovative Cord-Free Digital Art Frame For Your RV

This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

As RVers, we don’t have a lot of wall space inside our home on wheels. But we do have hundreds of beautiful photos that we’ve taken during our travels that we want to display throughout our rolling home.

We’ve seen ways to hang photos and pictures on an RV’s interior walls, but could you use a digital screen to achieve the same look?

Instead of trying to hang up several picture frames showcasing photographs, one Acanvas digital picture frame will do. This new device recently got funded through Kickstarter, and will be shipping soon.

The company Acanvas, with its self-titled art display platform, doesn’t just make yet another digital photo frame. Acanvas is a unique, innovative, streamlined, and cord-free way of bringing art into your home.

Art can be beautifully displayed any time of day with Acanvas’ backlight LED feature.

Acanvas is a 23”, ultra-thin, full HD (1080 x 1920) panel with an adjustable backlit LED portrait display. It can be purchased without a frame (weighing 10.8 lbs), or you can choose between a black-brown or silver frame with white matting (14.3 lbs). The company will even make a custom-sized frame for you.

What makes Acanvas cordless and unique is its ability to charge itself.

Being cord free is a unique feature of Acanvas. It has a built-in battery with a self-powered retractable cord. The battery life is 4 to 5 hours with normal use. Either at pre-assigned times, manually, or when the frame detects darkness (via its light sensor), the charging puck lowers from the frame (up to 6 ft.) to the charging dock.

The puck and dock makes a connection, charges the battery and then the puck is retracted back up behind the frame. The charging puck can be installed anywhere near the floor below the frame and up to 11 ft. away from an electrical outlet.

Display your own images or choose from thousands of pieces through Art Stations available in the Acanvas app.

Its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ability lets you choose what photo to display, whether it’s your own or pieces from Art Stations. This is a feature on the Acanvas app that is available with a $10 monthly subscription fee.

Art Stations is a partnership between Acanvas and Fine Art America, giving users access to a collection of curated artwork from a variety of artists and genres. You can control your Acanvas from anywhere, making it possible to change the art displayed on it from your home or remotely.

The triptych look can be achieved with Acanvas.
