If you’re looking to redo an existing gaucho or pull-out bed in your camper, this unique DIY couch build will give you a ton of inspirational ideas.
It was made for a restoration of a 1979 Airstream Sovereign travel trailer. The owner (and builder) designed the couch to work a little differently than a standard gaucho or fold-out bed.
His creation features a slightly declined back support, and the seat folds up so you can inspect the camper’s flooring for any water damage or wood rot (a common problem with older trailers). With plenty of storage space underneath the seating area, this is one DIY RV couch you don’t want to miss.
