You don’t get many opportunities to own a one of a kind piece of Hollywood memorabilia and a Fleetwood motorhome at the same time.
But that’s the chance one lucky buyer got when the RV from The Lost World: Jurassic Park went up for sale on eBay.
The full size custom 1997 Fleetwood motorhome and matching trailer were used in the movie as a mobile lab set for the actors.
Jurassic Park RV: Authentic Movie Prop
The Jurassic Park RV was used by Jeff Goldblum, Julianne Moore, and Vince Vaughn throughout the film.
Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment commissioned Fleetwood to create this custom Jurassic Park RV which would come to play a significant role in the plot of The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
When the movie was in production, Fleetwood was using their Power Platform© I-beam chassis, important because strength and durability were the two top requirements of the project.
The Fleetwood team went in and added:
- Eight-foot ceilings
- Super-reinforced siding
- Removable sections to allow camera crews to access the perfect angle
- Forty-two-inch military tires
- Custom tow trailer engineered from the ground up
- Rugged exterior features
To say this old RV would allow for a pretty amazing renovation is an understatement. Although it is in pretty rough shape, it pulled in over $15,000 during the online auction.
Can you imagine the faces on the onlookers as you pulled through the RV park with a totally restored version of this T-Rex tracker?
This would be a very exciting project to remodel. For those of you with kids or grandkids, owning this makes you the coolest parents in the neighborhood right?
