Here’s the Astronomy Lodge. It’s one of their many themed cottages, in addition to a robotic lodge, solar-powered lodge and others. Their Astronomy option even features a magical room with a telescope in which you and your little will be fascinated by looking out at the stars. They provide RV sites, places to set up tent, cabins and these themed accommodations.
There’s a ton of recreational options all over.
The campground borders West Canada Creek, so tubing and world class trout fishing can be enjoyed right here on the property. You can also go for a swim in their diamond pool, or play an exciting round of frisbee golf. The campground also has an organic vegetable garden you can walk through, or a dog park where you can take your four-legged friend. In addition, they offer a small convenience store to supply nearly everything you might need while on your trip.

It’s not every day you’ll find a place where you can dig up some beautiful quartz crystals that were faceted by nature over half a billion years ago. Located directly across from the KOA is the Herkimer Diamond Mines, where people of all ages can enjoy a geologic adventure.
Besides all of the unique features here, you won’t have to travel far to find more excitement.
Even with a charming Japenese garden behind your cozy cabin (as pictured), there’s plenty more to explore beyond the site. Just minutes from their facility, you can experience the Historic Erie Canal with a cruise through Lock 18 – a “liquid elevator” that raises and lowers vessels over 20 feet. The campground’s also not far from Gems Along the Mohawk, an amazing shopping venue featuring a wide selection of local products.

Additional campground amenities include 50-amp service, TV and WiFi, and a pool – with a snack bar, firewood, propane and bike rentals available. They also have some wonderful on-site dining options, and will even deliver pizza to your site on select evenings.
