Homemade Pop Up Camper On A Vintage Cadillac

Photo collector Charlie Beesley recently shared these photographs on the Hemmings Daily blog. Beesley discovered this Cadillac with what looks to be a homemade pop-top camper after having been given a collection of vintage photographs.

Where’s she off to?

There’s a surprising amount of head room in there.

It looks like the car is intact and could be used separately. You might be able to rig a foldable platform on each side to create more sleeping space. Maybe some tent material connected to the camper’s roof to create the sides? If you know the origins of this camper, please let us know.
