How To Lubricate The Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out System [VIDEO]

This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

Lippert Components makes the Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out system. This system is different from other slide out systems in that the gears and motors are mounted inside the slide out itself.

In this detailed video, Lippert Service Technician, Shawn Clark, shows you how he lubricates two important parts of the slide out,

  • the gib (the gib is what the bearing block rides on)
  • the coupler (the coupler rides inside the bearing block)

If you need help with other parts of your In-Wall Slide-Out, this reference page will point you in the right direction. Shawn mentioned that you should use CRC Power Lube with PTFE to lubricate the slide out parts.

PTFE is the generic name for the synthetic lubricant discovered and marketed as Teflon by DuPont. As a side note, many users have said that the PTFE-based Power Lube product is a better alternative to WD40, and has longer-lasting lubricating ability.
