The chance to meet fulltime RVers and travelers seems like it’s always there for the taking. After all, when your life is on the road and you have traveling friends who move in the same circles – you’d think real life meet-ups would be easy to coordinate.

Getting like-minded fulltimers together is tricky.

Carousel Days Lets You Be There Now

“I put together Carousel Days because I’m constantly getting comments on Instagram or Facebook or emails from other travelers like ‘Man, we were just there!’” says Nathan.

Some of our favorite experiences with this whole traveling around thing have been meeting up with other people, Airstreamers in Banff, the Mali Mish crew at various times, and just other more random encounters like meeting up with Finding Marshall a couple of weeks ago in Austin. But those meet-ups took a lot more effort than it seems should be necessary.

Designed for use in your smartphone’s web browser (this is not an app for download), Carousel Days enables you to:

  • Designate where you are. You can be as general or specific as you’d like.
  • Place pins in locations where you think you’ll be headed.
  • See who’s nearby.

If you happen to notice that an old friend is within easy driving distance, or you want to meet other RVers near you, Carousel Days enables you to email them through the app.

Email friends through the app.

Carousel Days stands out from other social apps because of its simplicity. Its sole purpose is to make it easy for full-time travelers to meet up with one another.

And while you can use other social apps that enable you to tell friends your location Nathan says,

…they’re either full of other stuff (like where to find cheap gas or dog parks), are just ‘for anyone’ (as opposed to people who predominantly travel full-time), or are focused more on retirees than this different subset of travelers.

This app is just for full-time travelers, by a full-time traveler.

The full-time RVing and vagabonding communities universe is a small one, and Nathan wants to bring like-minded souls even closer together. Head over to Carousel Days and take a tour.
