Pop up campers are some of the least expensive RVs on the market. They’re highly regarded for short trips and weekend excursions. One downside to camping in a pop up trailer might be that they often lack an air conditioning unit.
What to do? Add a cheap window-mounted unit yourself!

We got this pop up cheap. It is in almost perfect condition inside, but no air. I almost passed it up. It was expensive to have rooftop installed. We came up with this idea , and it’s perfect.
Total cost? $150.
The A/C support structure made from scrap materials laying around the garage.
With the A/C unit in place. It’s stored in the camper when traveling or not needed.
A view from the inside of the pop up camper. They report that cold air blows right through the screen with no trouble at all.
With an air conditioner of that size cooling just a single pop up camper, you can bet they have no trouble staying comfortable on even the hottest of days.
