The Sky Factory RV: Right Next to You with a Much Better View

Of course this travel trailer probably caches your eye first as a result of the unique exterior design. Bricks and windows? What is this thing? It is a mobile showroom trailer that has on display some very unique technology. This technology is not mainstream but has its roots in what is referred to as Biophilia. The term is generally defined by suggesting that there is an instinctive bond between human beings and other living systems. In other words, we love nature and have a instinctive bond to it while also drawing physical and emotional benefits from it (such as healing, stress and anxiety reduction, and the reliance on pain medications). I would assume that is why offices with a window are so coveted?

The Sky Factory RV is in the business of helping connect people with nature in spaces or places that would otherwise be without it. What this means is they are looking to produce nature imagery in windowless buildings, homes, or anywhere to provide a unique nature experience.

The Sky Factory RV has intentionally has no access to outside light such as windows or skylights as you can see from the photos. On some of those rainy days it virtual nature may offer a better view than the real thing judging by the realistic examples shown in the photos. The exterior, clearly custom painted to make to draw attention and begin to tell the story, is very interesting. We are particularly fans of the door which has been custom painted to look like a front door facing a not-surprisingly, beautiful blue sky.

The crew camping with this setup actually calls the truck camper they tow the trailer with home. A Dodge 2500 truck with a slide in camper and utility bed. The Sky Factory RV trailer is for showing off the goodies only!

The different ideas and uses for RV’s continue to amaze. In this case this RV simply functions as a mobile showroom for The Sky Factory to show off their wares. Pretty interesting wares at that. We were considering doing one of these in the basement of our home, that is until we found out they can cost around $10,000 or more!
