Camping At Talladega Superspeedway: What You Need To Know

This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

There’s no denying that NASCAR fans love their camping. Watch any race, and you’ll see the infield packed with hundreds of motorhomes and pull behind trailers. Camping at a race is an annual tradition for many people, with some lots filling up days before the drivers even get there. For a lot of people, the party and fellowship at the track is better than the action on the track.

There’s no better place where this tradition stands than Talladega Superspeedway. In fact, the tailgating, camping and partying scene here is often ranked one of the best in NASCAR. If you’re planning to camp for a race at Talladega Superspeedway, here’s what you’ll need to know beforehand.

There are eight different reserved camping areas at Talladega, in addition to 10 traditional infield camping lots. Beyond that, you’ll find three free camping areas. Some lots do have enforced quiet hours, and some are alcohol free. Leashed pets are allowed, as are small wood-only campfires.
