That VW Bus In Cirque Du Soleil’s Love Show Isn’t Real! Here’s What It Really Is

Cirque du Soleil premiered their Love theatrical production in 2006 (and it’s still playing at the Mirage in Las Vegas).

The show “combines the re-produced and re-imagined music of the Beatles with an interpretive, circus-based artistic and athletic stage performance.”

Featured prominently in the show is a VW bus from the 1970s era.

But it’s not actually a VW bus.

It’s a fiberglass replica built by a company that makes camper trailers!

Yep, the stage prop isn’t an actual working VW bus, but a reproduction made out of fiberglass.

The company who made it, Dub Box USA, makes several models of fiberglass camper trailers (and even food trucks) based on the popular VW bus. They’re not faithful reproductions though, but rather fiberglass molds built to resemble the iconic van design.
