This Volkswagen Westfalia Advertises On-The-Go For A Yoga Studio

This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

A surefire way to get customers to pay attention to your business is to showcase it with a brightly colored vintage vehicle.

John Reynolds owns Yoga Pod Reno and Mike and Angie Fraley manage the yoga studio in the high desert city in Nevada. Their mascot “Westy” is turning quite a few heads with its mango yellow color and cool details.

Yoga Pod Reno’s “Westy” turns heads and advertises a new business with style.

Mike found the 1977 Volkswagen Westfalia on Craigslist in nearly mint condition. The interior benches, bed, and cabinets had been maintained and the only thing missing is the original sink and stove.

The original pop-top reveals a full bed and the lower couch can be converted into a second bed.

Other details include a white VW spare tire cover and a vintage bottle opener attached to the exterior. In addition, a personalized license plate and a few bumper stickers will calm any bout of road rage over a slower moving vehicle.

Every Westfalia owner needs to have a sense of humor.

Yoga Pod Reno uses the bus to advertise their business and in the summer she will be also used as a pop-up yoga studio.

The bus will park at an area park or open space loaded with yoga mats and gear for impromptu yoga and workshops. Yoga Pod Reno will announce its pop-up classes on their Instagram, Twitter and other social media pages.

Weekends start early with this vintage vehicle around.

Mike, his wife, and their two daughters plan to take the Westfalia camping when she is not marketing the business. In addition, “Westy” won’t have much trouble on the area’s mountain roads with her upgraded Porsche 914 engine.

What a memorable way to advertise a business!

“People really love her and everybody waves,” Mike says. “Even the students in my high school daughter’s class think it’s so cool.”
