Zipperless Sleeping Bag Stays Shut With Magnets

This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

Zippered sleeping bags have been the norm since, well…ever. One company believes you don’t need zippers on a sleeping bag, though.

Developed by two outdoor adventurists, the nozipp sleeping bag uses magnets instead of zippers to keep you tucked in at night.

Rare earth magnets sewn directly into the fabric eliminate the need for snag-proof material and fumbling to ensure the zipper doesn’t get stuck.

Our magnets fit into the Goldilocks range: they’re strong enough to keep you tucked in throughout the night, but can conveniently open to take care of those annoying late night bathroom trips.

You don’t need to operate zippers to get into and out of this sleeping bag.Zipperless-sleeping-bag-system

nozipp isn’t available commercially just yet. But the fully funded Kickstarter campaign means that you’ll soon be able to get one of theses new-age, zipperless sleeping bags.

The nozipp zipperless sleeping bag functions well from about 15° F to 65° F.

It’s made of ripstop nylon for the inner and outer shell, and is filled with 850+ fill down to retain heat even when wet.

While the nozipp might be the neatest sleeping bag soon to be on the market, it’s not the cheapest. At around $420, you’re going to have to pay up for the convenience of rare earth magnets instead of zippers.

For more information, visit the nozipp website or Kickstarter campaign.
