Redneck RV or Not?

Our friend Bill contacted us on Twitter(‏@Willoww49Bill) to show off what he called his “Redneck RV”. The more we looked at it the more we began to disagree. It actually looks pretty sharp compared to many of the crazy stuff we have seen. Bill’s RV is a 1994 Vanguard 10 ft. truck camper that he mounted to a 1996 flatbed trailer. He has cleverly built storage underneath to make use of the wasted space that would be present without the use of a truck.

The Vanguard truck camper weights around 2,200 lbs. The cargo areas hold fire wood, water, chairs, and power accessories. That front storage gives this truck camper the kind of storage luxury that is usually reserved for fifth wheel campers!
