Look Inside A 1960 Airstream With Its Own Private Sauna

It’s not every day you see a vintage Airstream renovated with its own private sauna. So, we were pretty excited to come across this rare 1960 Airstream Land Yacht that was transformed into a comfortable Airbnb vacation rental and is now up for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Due to new guidelines in the Charlotte area, the owner is no longer able to continue renting it out. They are selling the fully licensed, registered, and titled trailer, as well as everything included in the trailer, and the 5-star business on Airbnb and HomeAway.

The 28-foot vintage beauty, named Tin Willy, comes fully furnished and stocked with everything you need to rent it out yourself. The trailer tows great if you plan on traveling but was designed primarily for the purpose of being a vacation rental in a backyard.

The Airstream has been refurbished with new plumbing, electrical, subfloor, and flooring, windows, screens, awnings, vents, skylights, hubcaps, new paint, and hookups. The new vinyl plank flooring is both luxurious and waterproof.

The cozy interior

The kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes, glasses, tumblers, flatware, drying racks, mugs, and more. There is storage beneath and above the sink for all the kitchen tools and essentials. Even the Airstream-themed salt and pepper shakers come included with the trailer.

It comes furnished with a fridge and a freezer as well as a microwave and a hot plate. Also included is a coffee maker, kitchen towels, and a fold-down dining set with two stools.

The private sauna comfortably fits two people and runs on an electric heater. It was beautifully designed with western red cedar wood for the walls and bench seating as well as teak flooring.

A refurbished church pew was added to the bedroom with additional storage underneath. They also installed unique lighting fixtures above the bed for a more homey ambiance.

The bedroom. I love their bookshelf under the seats (Tin Can Homestead is a great resource!)

The bedroom houses a queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress. Also included are pillows, linens, a duvet and cover, and an extra set of linens.

Gorgeous lighting over the bed

In the bathroom is a Nature’s Head composting toilet and a small shower. It also has a sink area with a mirror and vanity storage. The rugs and anti-slip mats come included on top of the gorgeous new bamboo flooring.

Guests can stay entertained between the 32″ LED Smart TV with Roku and Google Home smart speaker. For climate control, the trailer is equipped with a 9000 BTU Mini Split air conditioner and heat pump combo on a dedicated run.

Tin Willy could be all yours

The trailer is listed for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina at $49,900. For more information, check out Tin Willy on Airbnb and AirstreamClassifieds.com.
