Why The EZ Connector May Be The Finest RV Trailer Plug On The Market Today

This post was updated on March 27th, 2024

It was a great surprise to stumble onto this new style of RV trailer plug connector. We’ve only ever used the antiquated versions that are so common on older model trailers.

Some of the problems with these dated connectors include:

  • bent metal blades
  • dirt and corrosion preventing a good electrical connection
  • torn rubber covers and wire protectors shortening its useful life

Not having a good electrical connection between your trailer and your tow vehicle isn’t just a pain – it can be downright dangerous. The pigtail plug that jumpers electrical power from your tow vehicle controls the driving lights and / or brakes on your trailer. Not having these safety components working properly or reliably could spell disaster.

Is there any better way to electrically connect your travel trailer to your tow vehicle? One solution is to use a new product called the EZ Connector.

How the EZ Connecter works.

The patented EZ Connector has many advantages over traditional plugs and wiring harnesses. For one, strong neodymium magnets hold the male plug into the female socket, ensuring a secure connection.

Mark Polk is a bona fide expert in the EZ Connector (and in a whole lot of other RV topics). He’ll show you how to use this trailer plug in the video below. If you’re like many RV owners, you will love the convenience this type of innovation brings to the world of towing (and trailer camping!).

Why the EZ Connector will give you a safe and trouble-free towing experience.
