Creation Campers is a UK company that makes unique camper vans designed to suit anyone’s budget and needs.
They also make camper vans that break World Records.
The company’s owner, Simon Robins, recently set a new Guinness World Record for the ‘World’s Fastest Motorhome’.
He made the attempt at Elvington Airfield in North Yorkshire, England in late October.
His average top speed from two runs? 141.3 MPH. Just a notch faster than the previous world record of 138 mph set in 2013.
It took the owner of Creation Campers, Simon Robins, about a year to customize the motorhome for the world record attempt.
He replaced the original diesel engine with one from a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo – tuned to provide 337 HP!
Simon had a lot of trouble fitting the Coupe’s much larger engine into the Doblo.
At one point, I really didn’t think the engine was going to fit. But we got there in the end.

A happy new World Record Holder.
But before you think that Simon just had a sleeping bag in the back, the Fiat was outfitted with a full kitchen, toilet, and bed.
We’ve deliberately kept all the mechanics Fiat and left it looking as standard as possible. We might have got more grip and downforce if we’d fitted big wings and spoilers, but that would have defeated the whole point of the exercise. We wanted to show that you can build something special that doesn’t have to cost millions of pounds.
