Russ Moen built this custom RV from a stripped motorhome chassis, diesel engine, and 1954 Chevrolet cab-over truck.

When Russ Moen takes his custom-built truck camper to shows, he never fails to have a lineup of 20+ people wanting to check it out. It’s easy to see why—this 1954 Chevrolet COE (cab-over-engine) Tourliner is madly impressive.

It’s powered by a Cummins diesel engine that gets 400 horsepower and 800 ft-lb of torque. The truck has full air-ride suspension and automatic transmission.

The camper, built on the back of a 1954 Chevrolet cab-over truck, features fiberglass rear fenders to give it extra style.

Completed in 2010, the truck camper took Moen five years to build.

Despite its vintage look, the camper’s equipped with up-to-date features inside. The interior is beautifully built with birchwood, cherry trim, and a teak and maple floor.
