How To Crochet A Pop Tab Coaster

You may have noticed the huge trend in home design right now called ‘upcycling‘. It’s basically just a new-age name for a time-tested practice – reusing old stuff and making it look trendy! If you’re a proud coupon-clipper like me, you might enjoy this simple DIY crafting idea using old soda can pop tabs and some basic crochet skills.

It’s always amazing how many neat craft ideas you can make from just simple pop tabs. For the basic flower-petal shape you’ll need six pop tabs and some #5 nylon crochet thread.

While some have made these pop tab flower petals to hang as an ornament on a Christmas Tree, they would make excellent coasters too!
