It’s not everyday we see towable houseboats like the Escape II. Though boat-caravan hybrids aren’t a completely new concept, this modern build from Australia-based company Boatahome has an impressive design inside and out.
The Escape II from Boatahome serves as both a boat and a caravan.
These amphibious hybrids are powered by Suzuki motors on the water, and can be towed behind any four-wheel drive vehicle.
Up front, they feature hydraulic tilt steering and echoMAP navigation.
The kitchen includes a 3-burner gas stove, pull-out pantry, and a stainless steel sink.
You can also choose to add features like a microwave, stereo system, washing machine, and gas heater.
In the back, there’s a fridge, freezer, cozy sitting area with a table, and a fold-out double bed.
On the roof, two 150-watt solar panels provide sustainable power.
The makers Boatahome are based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. They also produce other various items, like: bus/coach panels, camper roofs, shower cubicles, ski boats, and flat panels.
We’re dreaming of the days when these houseboats will come here to the U.S. For now, we can still enjoy a sneak peek in this clip from Youtube:
