Futuria, The Luxury Semi Motorhome (With Trailer) From Germany

This post was updated on April 18th, 2024

When it comes to luxury, this rolling palace pretty much takes the cake. I’m not sure whether this is the ultimate in luxury RVs, or the wave of the future for homes. One thought that came to mind: with a few modifications, this would be the way to ride out the zombie apocalypse, or any other doomsday scenario really.

The Futuria is manufactured by a company based in Germany. Each one is built very specifically to their client’s specifications, which I am assuming are probably pretty particular. The first model featured in this video is an understated prototype, according to Gunter Hofbauer of MOST Mobile Specials, the company that produces this luxury semi on steroids.

The interior is huge, with up-to-the-minute modern styling found in the leather upholstered lounge and state-of-the-art appliances. The truck is large enough to afford a multi-level layout. Above the lounge area, a spacious bedroom features two beds and a large window with luxuriously carpeted floors.

We think most owners might spend a lot of their time on the outside of the truck – the roof to be exact – where a whirlpool hot tub is the centerpiece of a huge deck. The deck itself is covered in exotic teak wood with a heavy duty fence railing running around the entire top of the truck. The fencing folds flat against the truck’s top during transit.

In the belly of the beast is one of the coolest features yet, an integrated garage containing a sleek, low sports car that loads via a ramp at the rear of the trailer. The garage option limits the living space inside the truck somewhat, but as each truck will be custom built, you can go without the garage and add more living space.

The trailers are built between 11 and 13 meters long and optional modules can be added to increase interior space with two meter deep slide outs, six to eight meters long with one on each side, for an additional 24 to 32 square meters of living space. That’s bigger than many RVs!

The truck features a three liter four cylinder diesel that produces almost 200 horsepower for towing. The first generation of these RVs is planned to be limited to 100 trucks, each going for nearly one million dollars each. Another unique feature, aimed at making the truck more efficient, is the unique aerodynamic design, allowing air to flow more dynamically over the cab for less resistance on the trailer.
