Now you can camp (or is it glamp?) in style with your own homemade beverage coasters. An avid DIYer, Laurel got the idea when she saw her Christmas tree laying by the street, ready for the bulk trash pickup service. She raced outside, had her husband cut the stump of the Christmas tree off, and set about making these cute coasters.
Laurel cut the log into thin slices with a miter saw.
After sanding the raw wood and adding a coat of clear gloss polyurethane, she stenciled a heart shape onto the surface.
And personalized with initials.
A final coat of gloss polyurethane and you’ve got yourself some awesome DIY coasters!
These wooden coasters would be great for RVing because they’re light and won’t break. You could even leave them blank and just seal with a clear coat of polyurethane for a simpler look.
