Luxury Car Camping
Campers are a fairly common sighting in the RV world, though you don’t see many in the back of a Saab. Though this looks pretty funny to us, this is not a prank or a digitally altered photo. “Toppola”, as the branding on the side of this camper shows, is actually a now defunct manufacturer of campers specifically made for Saab (and a few Ford) automobiles that were in production from the early 80’s till 2006. Though the unit looks small and awkward, a 6 foot tall person could stand upright inside the Toppola. It seems they were much more popular overseas than in the United States and Canada. The phrase “I have been living out of my car” doesn’t have the same underprivaleged ring to it after seeing this. After All, this is car camping at its finest.
