Have you ever gone camping near a lake and wished you had some kind of boat so you could head out and enjoy the water? Or perhaps you’ve just always dreamed of driving over water and then right back onto the road again. Regardless, you’ve got to check out this ingenious and luxurious RV:
This is the Terra Wind Amphibious Motor Coach!
It’s the first ever fully amphibious motor coach, designed by South Carolina-based company CAMI, which stands for Cool Amphibious Manufacturers International. You can drive it on the land or the lake, and it can reach a highway speed of up to 80 miles per hour on the road and 7 knots on the water. It measures approximately 42½ feet long, 102 inches wide, and 12½ feet tall.
It can be custom designed with everything from entertainment systems to electronics, cabinetry, floor coverings, furniture, paint, and even personalized graphics that can be tailored to suit your individual interests.
Between its many first class features like the DVD/VHS/CD players, major appliances (fridge, washer and dryer, etc.), relaxing 8-jet whirlpool tub, marble floors & shower, giant 42-inch Plasma TV, and 6-foot rear swim deck that’s ideal for fishing, it’s hard to not feel right at home.
Up front, the padded leather dash slightly resembles a cockpit in an aircraft because there are so many system controls and gauges. It comes with a computer docking system with internet access, GPS, maps, and navigational charts so you’ll always know where you’re going!
The innovative company also makes other vehicles that are aquatically mobile, including a golf cart-style utility vehicle, sports vehicle and even a tour bus that can take you over bodies of water.
What does a crazy, yet awesome vehicle like this cost? It varies depending on the specific options chosen, but the land-yacht is typically valued around $500k – $1 million. Of course, that’s a great bargain if you’re a billionaire who happens to be looking to travel cross country…but it still can be fun to dream, right?
