For several decades, Smittybilt has gained a reputation for making tough, all-terrain accessories for Jeeps and trucks.  In the last few years, they’re now also known for their rugged new overlander trailer camper, the “Recon Overlander.”

The Recon Overlander has lockable security vaults for camping cargo.

The Overlander Recon Trailer is topped with Smittybilt’s new Overlander Rooftop Tent and Awning. This all-season, weatherproof tent features mesh windows for ventilation, and a wide, telescoping aluminum ladder.

It’s got a low price point (around $5,000) which gives you:

  • 1,200 lb trailer weight
  • 3,500 lb total weight capacity
  • 31” ProComp All-Terrain Tires
  • 17” wheels
  • Trailer brakes
  • Stabilizing jacks in front and rear
  • Heavy-duty slide out generator compartment
  • Weatherproof, lockable security storage vault in back with sliding shelves

There’s a special compartment for your generator too!

Three adults can sleep comfortably inside and enjoy the included accessories that make camping more fun, like LED lighting, a 12-volt power adapter, and sunroof with a mosquito net.

The tent weights only 118 lbs, so it doesn’t add a ton of weight to the trailer. When you’re not using it, the tent collapses and rolls up into its own cargo bag.

You can sleep three people in the tent.
