Is Wet And Forget Safe For RVs?

There is nothing better than hitting the road in a clean and shiny RV. To keep your RV’s exterior surfaces free of algae, mildew, and just plain old dust and dirt, your RV should be washed at least a few times per year.

However, washing a large RV can seem like a monumental task. This is especially true if you need to wash a fifth wheel trailer or large motorhome. Fortunately, Wet And Forget makes washing the entire RV a lot faster and easier than more traditional ways.

How Does Wet And Forget Work?

Wet and Forget Outdoor will get rid of mold, mildew, and algae on your RV without harming the rubber roof or any other surfaces. The cleaner is readily available on Amazon as well as in big box stores like Walmart.

Wet And Forget is super easy to use. All you’ll need to do is spray it on and the cleaner will do all the rest of the work for you.

What is Wet And Forget made out of?

Wet and Forget is a non-acidic, PH neutral cleaner. The active ingredient in this cleaner is Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, which is 9.9% of the product. This ingredient is also known as Benzalkonium chloride. It doesn’t contain any bleach, which can damage RV exterior surfaces and caulking.

Wet & Forget is said to be safe for all RV surfaces including rubber, fiberglass, metal, vinyl, and acrylic.

How to wash your RV with Wet And Forget

According to reviews from RVers, Wet And Forget works really well to clean all the surfaces on an RV. RVers who use Wet And Forget say that it must be used exactly as directed to achieve the results the manufacturer promises.

It’s best to use this cleaner on a dry, windless day, when no rain is expected for 4-5 hours. Using the product in the evening will minimize evaporation of the product.

Your RV will need to stay wet with Wet & Forget for an extended period so it can do its job properly. Here is what you’ll need to do:

  • Fill a pump-up garden sprayer with one part Wet And Forget and five parts water.
  • Thoroughly saturate the area you are washing.
  • Let the cleaner do the rest of the work for you.
