Though we wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s an RVing innovation, the Stromberg Carlson folding aluminum platform step has one of the highest ratings of any RVing product we’ve seen.
Anyone who’s ever doubted if they could make that fateful first step up onto an RV’s entrance stairs should think about getting one of these.
This step stool is great for all kinds of uses in an RV. It can help you get into and out of your trailer, or access those just-out-of-arm’s-reach items in the cupboard.
The Stromberg Carlson step stool has an amazing (could it be faked?) 4.8 out of 5 rating on Amazon.com. It would be hard to make something like this up as this record represents the sum total of 107 individual reviews (at time of writing).
Here’s what one reviewer had to say about this folding step stool,
I’m a rather big guy. So you see, I was looking for a STRONG step stool for ‘just out of reach’ situations around the house. Since the legs on this fold down, I figured to store it in the open in front of a cupboard. And it’s fine for that … with one minor drawback. When folded, the legs that touch the floor are uncovered metal (no protective or rubber covering). For fear of scratching the tile or hardwoods, I put a non-slip throw run under it when using it in the folded position. Of course, the manufacturer made this with the outdoors in mind…

I just picked up one of these. I never thought of putting a step under my Tioga Class C steps. Thanks for the tip!
