This post was updated on March 15th, 2024

Bungee cords are very useful around the RV.  They can secure items from moving while you’re driving and easily create more storage space.  Plus, the cords are available in a wide variety of lengths and they’re generally inexpensive.

These are eight of the many ways you can use the elastic cords around your home-on-wheels.

1. Secure the contents of your cabinets using screw eye hooks and bungee cords.

  1. In the past I havve loved all the helpful ideas found in my email by Do It Yourseldf RV. Please continue to send them that way as I do not have Faxce Book. I know many others that feel the same way. Thank You.

  2. You have to be very careful with bungee cords. I was in an OSHA training class and the instructor spoke of a friend who lost an eye when the cord snapped back. Perhaps small ratchet straps or parachute cord with quick release clips are more in order?
