If you’re making plans for a short camping trip and worry about how you’ll keep your clothes clean, the Drumi from Yirego could be just the small appliance you’re looking for.
The Drumi washes six or seven garments at a time with zero electricity. No generator or solar panels required. You won’t even have to pack your quarters for the local laundromat!

And at only 22 inches in height, you can stash the small garbage can-sized unit next to your sleeping bags or other camping supplies.

A foot pump spins the internal washing assembly. Once you finish washing, press the button to drain the dirty water from the unit, and give your clothes a good spin with a few more steps on the foot pedal.
Come to think of it, this portable washing machine could be used for way more than just camping. It would be perfect for the dorm room or inside a tiny house, for example.
Alas, the YiREGO Drumi isn’t available until summer 2016. You can still preorder it on their website though for $129 (plus $40 shipping in the US).
