The Ultimate Outdoor RV TV – Sunbrite TV

When you think of an RV TV I am confident that most of us think of heading to, Best Buy or Walmart to select the latest and greatest TV that we can find a place for inside our RV’s. But in some applications the standard brick and mortar home televisions dont fit the profile. I was first introduced to Sunbrite TV by my father who installed one on a swing arm mounted inside one of his storage bays. When stowed it would push flush against the side of the storage bin and allow for other items to be stored along side it. Once parked at the site my Dad would open the bin, and swing out this 4 foot arm with a RV  Outdoor TV on it so we all could watch movies in our reclining camping chairs. It was something amazing to behold and the brand he chose was SunBriteTV. They are the only TV’s in the world that are specifically designed and built from the ground up for the outdoor environments. These are true all-weather outdoor LCD TV’s and they don’t skimp on brightness but they can operate in the same environments as the Unicat Extreme RV which could be desert environments, rain forests or even a winter in Nova Scotia.

Outdoor RV TV

SunBriteTV’s are designed, engineered, and assembled in a production facility in Thousand Oaks, CA. How about that, american made. That makes SunBrite the only consumer brand that actually manufactures televisions in the United States. SunBriteTVs are featured in Yankee Stadium, Gillette Stadium, Wrigley Field, Soldier Field, Marlins Park and many others.

Outdoor RV TV

Larry Kaiser and Tom Weaver were inventors that started SunBrite TV to answer a call that many people have. Should we go outside and enjoy the sunshine or stay inside and watch our favorite sports team? Larry and Tom decided they should do both.

Sunbrite TV products are broken down into three different lines:

Marquee Series – Designed for Outdoor Advertising so most RV’ers need not apply

Pro Series – Business and Residential Design with extreme conditions in mind.

Signature Series – End user in mind for Outdoor Kitchens, BBQ, and of course RV’s in mind. Will probably be the most appropriate for most based on features and pricing.

All their TV’s in general are equipped with the following features.

  • Specifically designed and engineered to resist rain, dust, insects, humidity, and salt air.
  • Perfect for the ultimate outdoor deck, patio, pool, or BBQ area.
  • Built-in air flow cooling system to operate in extreme heat (As high as 122 degrees F).
  • Ability to operate in cold weather (Some as low as -40 degrees F).
  • An exterior engineered for outstanding strength and durability.
  • RS232 control feature set to maximize system integration and programming security.
  •  Will operate  in Sun, Darkness, Wind, Rain, or Snow.

Where to Get a SunBrite RV TV:

They are available from SunBrite directly if you choose. I recomend following the links below to where you can find the following Signature Series (RV’er friendly pricing and features) at a discount compared to the MSRP.

32″ Version

46″ Version

22″ Version (Part of the Pro Series not available in the signature series)

I think that covers most of the models that fit the applications that most RV’ers would be looking for. Keep in mind that there are larger screen sizes if your project calls for it! Up to 65″.
